Alberta is one of the top farming provinces across the country, so on February 23rd 2021, we’re celebrating Canada’s Agriculture Day by showcasing the amazing bounty that is being produced in our own backyard.
“Canada’s Agriculture Day is a great opportunity to pay tribute to our producers and to express our immense appreciation for their contributions to our communities,” said Marie-Claude Bibeau, minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. “Canadian producers and processors are working around the clock to put nutritious, high-quality food on our tables and create good jobs in communities across the country. Our food producers continue to innovate to meet growing demand at home and around the world, while meeting the challenges of environmental sustainability.”
How you celebrate is up to you – create your own mouth-watering moments or get inspired with some delicious eats from local farms and producers. Just have fun, show your ag pride and make some noise on social media for Canadian food! Don’t forget to use #CdnAgDay in your posts.
