Wild Rose Brewery began 1996. It was a dark time for beers in Alberta, as it was very difficult to find craft beer. Macrobreweries ruled the industry. The founders of Wild Rose wanted to provide people with a chance to enjoy craft beer – a return to the traditional ingredients and methods for making beer. (Fresh, no preservatives).

Built in an old airplane hanger in the Currie Barracks, the Wild Rose Brewery Taproom is a fun and unique destination getaway right in the heart of Calgary.  We brew beer onsite and always have our taps loaded up with something for everyone!

Kids are welcome:

1996: Began brewing in a small shipping bay in the Foothills Industrial Area.
2006: Moved to building AF23 in the Currie Barracks where the Taproom, innovation hub and Barracks Room event space are now located.
2011: Returned to the Foothills Industrial Area to open a production facility where all our major packaging takes place.
2021: We continue to brew award-winning creations in Alberta, crafted with quality ingredients, by quality characters.
